How we handle your data.

Who we are

This website is run by Creator Chaos Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15865897). We are the "data controller" for any personal information described here. For anything to do with your data, email spencer@creatorchaos.com.

What we collect

This site has no sign-up forms, no newsletter, and no tracking. The only personal data involved is:

• What you send us by email. When you click an email link and write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message.
• Basic technical data. When you visit, our host records standard server information such as your IP address and browser type, used only to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Why we use it

We use the details in your email to reply to you and, if it leads somewhere, to discuss working together. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in taking steps towards a possible project. We use the technical data on the same basis, to run and protect the site.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Our host, Cloudflare, may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep the site secure. These do not identify you personally.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, and our email is handled by our email provider; both process data only so they can provide that service to us. Some processing may happen on servers outside the UK, in which case it is covered by appropriate safeguards so your data keeps the same protection.

How long we keep it

We keep your emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them. If you would like us to delete your details sooner, just ask.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it. To do any of these, email spencer@creatorchaos.com and we will respond within one month, free of charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date above. This is the current version.
